Sensitive detection for nicotine using nickel/copper nanoparticle–modified carbon paste electrode

Abstract The need of quick testing nicotine (NIC) is vital because its hurtful impacts on human. NIC detection has been successfully developed using a novel sensitive simple electrochemical sensor. sensor system based modifying carbon paste electrode (CPE) Ni and Cu nanoparticles to develop the new nickel/copper nanoparticle–modified (NCNMCPE) with low-cost procedure. showed excellent electrocatalytic activity for oxidation in phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.0) at lower voltage 1.3 V, linear response from 6.0 1000.0 µM. limit (LOD) was estimated be 0.14 nM. sensing performance NCNMCPE electro-oxidation examined utilizing cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronoamperometry (CA), impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) techniques were used achieve surface characteristics.
